Individual Sessions

Comprehensive Herbal & Nutritional Consultation $120 (includes 3 visits)

The Comprehensive Herbal & Nutritional Consultation begins with completion of a Health Questionnaire completed online via Practice Better (my Practice Management platform) where you will set up an account, feel free to schedule your first two new client appointments there as well, the ‘Initial’ and the ‘Second Visit’ 3-5 days to a week later.  There are 3 visits total included in this consultation, the cost is $120

1 – Initial Visit – 1 hour / during this visit we will discuss your health goals, how you are feeling currently, how you would like to feel and review your health history.  We will work together to start designing  a personalized dietary and lifestyle protocol that addresses your health concerns and moves you closer to your health goals.

There are online food and mood journals included on my Practice Better platform that are often useful to look at a snapshot of your current nutritional levels.

2 – Second Visit – 1 hour / scheduled 3-5 days (up to a week) following the initial visit, we will review your personalized protocol which includes recommendations I have outlined and how they fit with your immediate and long-term goals.  We will go over the nutritional and herbal protocols in depth and talk about various strategies for sourcing what you need.  Your personalized protocol will be designed as a phased in approach to making lifestyle changes needed to reach your health goals. Supplements and herbal formulas are ‘not’ included in the price of the comprehensive consultation, those costs are additional.  I will do my utmost to help you shop for the best pricing that is out there.

3 – Follow-up Visit – 1/2 hour /  We will  schedule a Follow-up Visit for about a month after you have procured your supplements and/or herbs and have been consistently using them for 3 weeks to a month.  This is an important visit.  It is where we will assess what is working and what may not be working and needs some tweaking to be effective.

I recommend monthly follow-up visits thereafter (or every other month) whatever works best for you.  Follow-up Visits are $30 each and last 1/2 hour.

Follow Up Visits $30 each and Follow-up Packages (discounted)

Follow up Visits are only available to established clients.

During our follow up visits, we will review progress, conduct any reassessments as needed, and update your personalized protocol/plan.

$30 per follow up visit – 1/2 hour

Follow up visit packages are available at a reduced or discounted rate of $150 for 6 follow-up visits (normally $180) and $300 for 12 follow-up visits (normally $360).

The 6 visit package must be used within 1 year of the purchase date, and the 12 visit package must be used within 2 years from purchase.

Who I Work With

I work in two areas of nutritional, lifestyle and herbal education to facilitate my clients ability to make focused progress toward their health goals.  I focus on those 55 and older who seek support with Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis Support or those who only want support with Healthy Aging.

Hashimoto’s Support

WHO THESE CONSULTATIONS ARE FOR

Those 55 and over who are seeking support to manage their Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis

WHAT THIS WORK IS ABOUT

Struggling to manage mutiple Hashimoto’s symptoms?  New symptoms popping up on a regular basis?  Are you wanting personalized support?

Western Herbalism is grounded in the belief that the body has the inherent ability to heal itself if given the proper nutrients it needs. As a practitioner it is my job to educate my clients and help them identify and create a plan for addressing nutritional imbalances and deficiencies to strengthen your body and support a healthier you.

I read recently that Hashimito’s Thyroiditis has potentially 200 different symptoms that present.  That is even more that Chronic Fatique Syndrome (CFS) from back in the 70’s.  Managing a multitude of symptoms and managing a handful of different specialists can be daunting.  Sometimes there can be conflicting information given by two different providers.

I am not a doctor, I don’t treat, prescribe or diagnose.  But I do provide a level of support that you won’t find easily elsewhere.  Our visits are long enough to really talk through symptoms; what helps, what makes things worse, and what you might want to try going forward.  The Practice Better practice management platform allows you to send in notes via email so we can discuss the issues at your next visit.  The follow-up visits themselves are affordable and valuable to assess progress, discuss what isn’t working and what might be a better approach going forward.

I am here to listen and to help.  Please contact me with any questions via email or request information on how to schedule a Comprehensive Consultation, I look forward to working with you!

Healthy Aging Support

WHO THESE CONSULTATIONS ARE FOR

Those 55 and over who struggle with a multitude of symptoms who wish to be proactive with their health.

WHAT THIS WORK IS ABOUT

Mild cognitive decline?  New aches and pains? New diagnoses from your doctor? Beginning to see more and more specialists? Are you wanting some support to develop natural protocols for yourself that can ease some of your symptoms?

Western Herbalism is grounded in the belief that the body has the inherent ability to heal itself if given the proper nutrients it needs plus herbal support as necessary. It is my job to educate you on various approaches and help you identify what your primary goals are in regards to your health and what you are willing to do.  I’m also here to assist you to create a phased health plan that addresses nutritional imbalances and deficiencies.

I am not a doctor, I don’t treat, prescribe or diagnose.

As we age I feel it is important to maintain as high a quality of life as possible.  To accomplish that we need to ask a lot of questions at our doctor’s visits and squeeze as much information gathering as we can out of the allowed 10-20 minute appointments.

We need to be willing to make dietary and lifestyle changes (sometimes significant) to help our body work to restore itself to a healthy balanced state, or as close to that as we can.

I am here to listen and to help.  Please contact me with any questions via email or request information on how to schedule a Comprehensive Consultation, I look forward to working with you!

FAQs

What do I do prior to my appointment?

You will have already set up your Practice Better Account (after I send you an invitation to do so).  You will have scheduled two visits on my schedule approximately 3-5 days apart (or up to a week apart).  Please complete the Health Questionnaire as completely as possible.  If you have recent lab work, please download them on Practice Better.  If I have requested that you try to keep a food and/or food and mood log for a few days, please try to do that ‘prior’ to our first appointment.

I forgot to include some things on my Health Questionnaire, what do I do?

You can write me using the Chat feature in your Practice Better account.  Add any information you missed or think is relavant and I will see it, thanks!

What about Herb Safety?

Historically, and in modern use, herbs used for health have excellent safety records.  As with anything one uses topically or consumes internally for health purposes, educating yourself on its safety is of utmost importance.  Interactions between herbs and pharmaceutical drugs are completely possible.  Herbs should not be taken during pregnancy or while lactating without specific expert advice.  If you become pregnant while taking herbs, stop taking them until you have sought professional advice.  Any hint that the effect of a pharmaceutical drug has been altered by using an herb simultaneously must be reported right away to all involved health professionals.

What is your missed appointment policy?

Please give me at least 24 hours notice if you need to miss, cancel, postpone or reschedule your appointment.  A charge of $25 will be assessed for missed appointments unless 24 hours prior notice is received.  Exceptions will be considered in cases of emergency.

What is the role of an herbalist?

My goal is to educate and empower you to address your health concerns and facilitate you reaching your health goals.  A comprehensive, personalized program (or protocol) including herbal, nutritional and lifestyle recommendations, when properly used, supports the body to return to a balanced and healthy state.  I do not practice medicine.  I do not diagnose disease and I do not directly treat disease.  Education is my primary focus.

Book a Consultation

When I decided to get my degree in Holistic Health Care I realized it was one of the best decisions I ever made.  As a Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis sufferer my list of symptoms wasn’t as long as some people I knew but I didn’t like the helpless feeling I had when new symptoms popped up out of the blue for no apparent reason.  Now, as a clinical herbalist and nutritional health consultant I am in a position to help others not feel helpless and alone with their Hashi’s.   The consultation model I offer allows us to get to know each other and work together to create a health plan for you.  I hope you will reach out with any questions or book a comprehensive consultation with me soon!  I look forward to working with you!
